The year 2020 has been anything like we imagined. With the pandemic going on, we have had to change our routines and habits, which have had a significant impact in both our professional and personal lives. This year has been unexpected, stressful, life changing and challenging. But most importantly, this year has been a learning experience. Learning about ourselves and loved one. Learning how to change one's entire routine and place it at home. However, motivation and ambitious sometimes lacked a little bit. We now move to 2021, and our hopes are very high for this year.
Today I bring you 10 MUST-READ books to start off the year right. All books focus on different themes but have a common goal: to motivate and inspire.
Presence by Amy Cuddy: Bringing your boldest self to your biggest challenges
This is a great personal development book that gives you tips to become more powerful and confident in any type of situation (job interview, professional event). Presence is about "being in the moment and being at your best". Amy Cuddy explains how the right body posture can achieve that presence. Having an upright posture makes you look more confident and present in the moment, ready to face big challenges.
The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg: Why we do what we do and how to change
Have you ever tried to stop smoking? Have you committed to do your workout routine? Have you succeeded? I'll answer that for you. It is very unlikely that you did manage.
